It is a sad, but true, fact of life that people will inevitably fall out over even the smallest things. Most of them, of course, can be resolved by discussion and agreement between the parties. Should this fail, however, the Law is there to protect the interests of everybody involved, and to provide a final adjucation as to the rights and wrongs of any given situation.

Should you ever find yourself in such a situation, it is absolutely critical you obtain the best Legal advice available, as early as possible. Although you might believe your case is, “cast-iron”, you probably will not be aware of the written, Spanish Law which will govern your case – and which will also govern the actions of any Judge who will be responsible for deciding the merits of your case.

In such cases, if you find yourself in a position where you cannot reach an agreement on a dispute, you really, really should have at least an initial conversation with Espin & Rodriguez. Free of charge, we will give you our best legal opinion as to where you stand in regard to the Law. We will also tell you what the process will involve, should you decide to take the matter to Court; what any costs are likely to be; and our estimate as to the regularity (and likelihood of winning) of your case.

In all or any of  these cases, we are qualified to represent you in any Court in Spain – from the Local to the Highest Court in the Land. So there is not any “handing over” of your case to more “highly qualified” Lawyers. There are none, we possess every qualification necessary to represent your interests throughout the Spanish Justice System. This, by the way, also includes not only Civil Law (contracts, etc.) but also anything which might invoke the Criminal Code of Justice – e.g. if you think you may have been defrauded, then we are more than ably qualified to point this out, and to proceed on that basis, should that Code apply.

It should also be said that Espin & Rodriguez will always make our best efforts on your behalf to mediate any dispute, prior to making an official filing.  Sometimes, our intervention can bring an opposing party back to reality, and the very threat of Court proceedings will bring about a mutual settlement, at much less cost to both parties. This is always our first strategy, and tends to work in a large number of cases.
